Honesty – Equality – Respect

About Lauren Tyers

Lauren has been in the roofing industry for almost two years and has been enjoying the view. She made her way onto the roof after a career in real estate so working with homeowners and advocating for their needs came naturally to her. Working at HER Roofing has been incredibly rewarding because of the uncompromising values and stellar roofs it stands for. Employees and Homeowners are greatly valued with this team which is a rare and excellent quality to have anywhere let alone the roofing industry. Lauren has been estimating and selling roofs under the owner, Jana Zavala’s knowledgeable eye and learns something new and exciting everyday. Lauren couldn’t be happier to call HER home.

Lauren started her education at a small Quaker college near Los Angeles called Whittier College where she studied English and Art History. After a semester abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, full of Viking history and Danish Blues Bars, Lauren transferred to Emerson College in Boston, MA. It was here she studied Theatre Education with a strong desire to become a Theater Teacher. It was drama in her earlier years that always fostered curiosity in the world and her place in it so it was this that she wanted to give back. But after living in England and becoming a certified tea specialist after graduating, she wasn’t ready for the classroom. She worked at a whimsical restaurant called Alice’s Tea Cup in New York City where she waited on VIPs in fairy wings. Thus a life of adventure has continued. It’s no surprise she ended up on a ladder on a roof breaking glass ceilings and stereotypes along the way.

What Lauren Can Do for You

My responsibilities at HER Roofing include homeowner advocate, roofing estimator, and sales consultant. It’s up to me to meet homeowners, learn about their roof questions, problems, and dreams and cultivate solutions tailor made to their needs. I specialize in ventilation, roofing materials, gutter and drainage solutions.

The H.E.R. philosophy of Honest, Equality and Respect. Perfectly summarized my philosophy and approach to work. As a homeowner myself, these are the qualities I would like to see in any contractor bidding to work on my largest asset: my home. This is how we treat customers and each other in the workplace and the results are incredibly pleasant and rewarding. We offer a consultative sales approach to roofing. We aim to provide the roof that best suits each homeowner without compromising protection or transparency. It’s the perfect combination.

Excellent Reviews for HER Roofing

– Allison L

“I don’t hear many people say that they were happy with their roofers, so HER Roofing really stands out. From beginning to end, I was impressed with their work. The salesperson explained every detail clearly and supported her recommendations with video documentation from my roof. They install all products according to the manufacturers specifications, which means that they are not the cheapest option. But I’ve seen the damage caused by cutting corners, so I know that this does not save money in the long run! Of course we encountered unexpected challenges along the way, and I was grateful for the clear communication and problem solving. Roofing is noisy and dirty work, and the crew worked l-o-n-g days, almost 12 hours. Even so, they took the time to leave my yard *spotless* at the end of every single day. (They use magnets to pick up fallen nails!) This meant that it was safe for my dog to use the yard in the evenings, which made my life a lot easier. All around, top notch work.”

“Very professional. Project was completed in the estimated time and close to the estimated amount. I especially appreciated the extra time they spent explaining a few items to me during the quoting process. We had a hole patched from a metal smoke stack as well as a couple other concerns taken care of, the riff matches so well it is hard to tell there is a patch. I will be calling them when it is time for a full repair.”

“HER roofing was fantastic from start to finish. Extremely good communication, always answered my questions. No sales pressure. They did an excellent job. The crew was so fast and courteous. Really, could not have been better. Highly recommend.”
